I had this project well underway before I realized it. Like many photographers, I did a photo-a-day effort for a year: 365 photographs. Upon reviewing that year's work--and with considerable distance from the day-to-day of it, only a couple handfuls of photographs grabbed my attention. More than a few were images of dilapidated, decrepit, derelict, buildings or things scattered across North Carolina, especially in the outskirts. Whether the colors, the magnificent details, or nature's inexorable reclamation, they conveyed to me something about our place in the world. I kept finding those images. The project continues--this is some of that work. To order prints, go to PRINTS.
As displayed here, all are in 17x22 aspect ratio. The photographs look best in print on archival grade fine art paper. Some do just as well, or better, at 17x25.5 or at 13x19. To ensure highest quality I print photographs in-house. Go to PRINTS for more information.
